Product Description

After saving Olympus from the evil Titan lord, Kronos, Percy and friends have rebuilt their beloved Camp Half-Blood, where the next generation of demigods must now prepare for a chilling prophecy of their own:

Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.

Now, in a brand-new series from blockbuster best-selling author Rick Riordan, fans return to the world of Camp Half-Blood. Here, a new group of heroes will inherit a quest. But to survive the journey, they’ll need the help of some familiar demigods.

"Mystery of the gods" 2010-10-16
By Jozy Sanlar
To start off with, "The Lost Hero" is the first book of a series that follows the events of the Percy Jackson series. So, to be blunt, you'd be kind of lost if you read this without finishing off those first!

The basis of the story is that a teenager named Jason finds himself on a school bus, not remembering anything about himself. Immediately following this, he meets Piper and Leo, a girl and a boy who strongly believe that he is their good friend. Afterward, a battle ensues and the story continues on as classic mythology flows throughout the entire book.

I thoroughly enjoy mostly any book about mythology, and I would definitely mark this as one of my favorites. It contains a lot of action and information that incorporates the Greek and Roman mythology perfectly into the storyline. The plot unfolds at a non-rushed pace. I could never wait to see what happened next when I had to rest after reading it for about an hour. In simple terms...it was a REALLY good book.

Definitly get this book if you read the Percy Jackson series. I read it as fast as I could and am now done. Can't wait for the next book which seems so far away until it comes out! Great book!

"AWESOME!" 2010-10-16

Fantastic book! I love the new characters- they're different but nonetheless fantastic. It's a bit lengthy but totally worth it. I like Piper's spunk and personality. Honestly, I did not give much thought to the Aphrodite cabin beforehand but it's cool to see that you don't have to be an airhead to be in the Aphrodite Cabin. Leo is just.... Leo. He's hilarious and pretty cool just the way he is. Jason is a also a great character. He's a leader more so than the others and has a kind of quiet strength about him. I also liked how because of the way the novel was written, we get more of an idea about how Annabeth and other previous characters might appear to people who don't know them as well. This book is written very well and I think it's a great followup to the Percy Jackson series. There's humor, suspense, adventure, romance- everything you can hope for in a book. I'd recommend it to any Percy Jackson lover!

"Exceeds Expectations!!!" 2010-10-16

I will admit that I was not so excited when I learned there was going to be a sequel to the Percy Jackson series. I mean, a sequel seemed silly. Percy defeats Kronus. End of story, right? Wrong. The prophecy Rachel makes is starting to happen. And though I was not so excited about a sequel at first, I do not CARE anymore. This book was amazing. Amazing! And the next book is coming out in the fall of 2011! A long wait, but I will be patient. Take your time, Riordan, and live up to your expectations.
